Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful festival that honors the pure, unconditional bond between brothers and sisters. Beyond just a decorative thread, a 'Rakhi' symbolizes a sister's deep love and heartfelt prayers for her brother's well-being, as well as the brother's lifelong vow to protect her. At Lahan Paragon Academy, our students celebrated this vibrant tradition with immense enthusiasm, creativity, and joy. We are thrilled to announce the winners of our special Raksha Bandhan competition!
📖 The Legend of Krishna and Draupadi:
The significance of the Rakhi traces back to the great epic, the Mahabharata. Once, Lord Krishna accidentally cut his finger while handling sugarcane. Seeing him bleed, Princess Draupadi immediately tore a piece of her rich silk sari and tied it around his finger to stop the blood. Deeply touched by her unconditional love and quick action, Krishna promised to protect her whenever she was in need. This sacred promise of protection remains the timeless essence of Raksha Bandhan today.
